Child Training Bible Giveaway

I have discovered the Child Training Bible and am very excited! It's sound like a wonderful tool to help me (and everyone) to parallel my child's behavior with what scripture says. In order to help guide and teach them. I also think it would be a wonderful tool to help them memorize scripture!

They are giving one away today! So go and check them out at http://www.childtrainingbible.com/

A Time to Hold

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the heaven:” Eccl 3:1

I have that verse framed and hanging in my kitchen. I don’t know about you, but I need constant reminder, that there is a season for everything.

The past two days I felt like I could pull my hair out! I couldn’t get anything done. My husband and eldest daughter are away and I am alone with two little ones. My 5 month old son, wouldn’t nap or be content for that matter! Well, that’s not true…when he’d nap it would be for about 20 minutes, then he’s cry and just want me to hold him.

If I was lucky I could get him to be happy in his swing or perhaps watching the mobile above his crib. But, again it would only be for about 20 minutes then he would cry again!

Agh! I needed to pump (he feeds through a tube), I was starving and just wanted to eat, and the thought of relaxing with a HOT cup of coffee was a dream!! *smile*

Through talking to my husband God reminded me of that verse. As my husband so wisely reminded me, that Josiah just wanted his momma and before I know it, he will be grown and not wanting/needing to be held.

It’s sad to think that my sweet baby boy will one day not be a baby any more. Only God knows if He will bless us with more babies. For all I know Josiah could be are last baby that I am blessed to rock and hold.

“A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;” Eccl 3:5

With that reminder I held on to my baby boy a little tighter and longer. Through out the day, when I would look upon the messes or wish for some quite, I’d just tried to cheerfully remember that, “this too shall pass.” *smile*

Remember that where ever you are in life that, God is right there beside you and that "this too shall pass."

Blessing,

Change

I am amazed how much my family has changed within the last year. We have gone through and are still going through some serious trials.

It has been hard but, God is merciful and His strength has carried us on.

We still have three children. We just don't have three girls. We have lost one and in return the Lord has blessed us with a son.

I pray the Lord will give me the time and grace to share with you are trials and life story. So that we can be a living testimony and encouragement to others. So stick close by and over the next few weeks, I pray that God will allow me to share with all of you.

And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. - 2 Cor. 12:9

Until next time, ~Christen~

February Goals

I am not one for New Year resolutions. But, I am seeing a lot of people making monthly resolutions or goals. I thought that was a great idea and want to give it a try.

I want to start a new personal goal for myself and one for my family. Lord willing we will be comfortable with our new goals, before the end of the month. Then we can add a new goal the next month. So on and so forth.

Starting in February I would like to write at least one blog a week. I also would like to read my Bible daily, since I haven't been lately. Even if I can only read a verse a day.

For my kids I would like to start back up a daily schedule. It won't be easy with a 19 month and a 4 month old, but I think it would do us all good. To try and have some sort of schedule. Even if it's just setting up a morning routine, to get the day going.

What goals are you setting?
